Due to the Lumbar Spondylarthrosis, our 60-year-old brother Evane Louis has been paralyzed since August of 2023. Lumbar Spondylarthrosis is a degenerative disease that affects the joints in the spine. It's characterized by inflammation in the joints and spine. A gardener by trade, residing in Blanchard Haiti, Brother Evane has not been able to provide for his family. And he is bed-ridden due to extreme pain in his lower back. He requires constant care from his family and friends.
Dr. Bernard Pierre thinks that by removing the mass around his spinal cord, Brother Evane may be able to regain some of the functions in his lower members, thus regaining a certain freedom. Although the doctor has not guaranteed total recovery, his family feels the need to proceed with the surgery. It is scheduled on Wednesday the 1st of May 2024. Even a partial recovery would provide a certain relief to his wife and two daughters.
Physical therapy is part of Brother Evane's long journey to recovery. The estimated cost is 10,000 US dollars for surgery, medications, and physical therapy.
We are inviting you to share this financial burden with the family. Any donation, great or small, is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
